"Tabula Rasa" Beta Sign-Ups Announced

NCsoft, creators of "Auto Assault" and the resulting massive unemployment, have announced beta sign-ups for "Tabula Rasa," their FPS sci-fi humans v. aliens MMO.

This game is on our radar because it is the project of "Ultima" and "Ultima Online" mastermind Richard "Lord British" Garriott, one of a handful of game designers whose efforts have been significant enough to make him a household name -- in gaming households, anyway.

What is Avataritoria?
Avataritoria is the official MMO blog-microsite of the Global Gaming League. It is edited by Erik "Kunochan" Even.

What does the name "Avataritoria" mean?
Nothing. It was simply the first thing that came to mind. It's related to the fact that Kunochan hates it when MMO players call their character a "toon." He thinks this is insipid, and that the correct term is "avatar." Or "character." Or "PC." Anything but "toon."

What MMOs do you write about?
Any of them. Whatever games our elite cadre of bloggers cares to write about.
